Welcome to the Honey House!
Hi Honey! My name is Anita, owner of the Honey House, your local beekeeper, & honey dealer.
You may be wondering, what is the Honey House?, "You? A beekeeper?", "How many times have you been stung?" and "How did you even get into beekeeping?"
To try and make a long story short, this entire journey stemmed from a decade long hobby that my great Uncle Alex started.
Uncle Alex was a unique individual, jack of all trades to say the least. He was born in Romania, and in his late 20's, immigrated to the states in the late 60s where he started his life-long, 50 YEAR, career in commercial kitchen repair. And well, working in the kitchens and eating that "good for the soul" kind of food (but not the body), caught up with him. In 2010 he suffered a major heart attack, barely surviving , but was forced to live a much healthier lifestyle following that. His eastern European mentality, a stubborn one of that, made him to be the type that he didn't want to go and buy something from someone, but make it himself. With his lifestyle change, he found out how EXTREMELY healthy and beneficial raw, pure honey is for the body, so he decided to start the beekeeping process for his own honey production. Hence, a new hobby for not only him, but me too. At this time I was around 13 years old, and was first introduced to all sweet things of bees and honey. Over the years, during my summer breaks, I would go help my uncle with the bees, not even imagining where it would bring me today.
Fast forward to 2019, I graduated college with a background in Marketing and PR (yes, nothing bee, agricultural or environmentally related). By this time, Uncle Alex (78) developed some sicknesses and became ill. While I was doing the whole job applying process post graduation, I was caretaking for Uncle Alex and working for him. Yes, he was still working at his age, but with his conditions, physically couldn't do much, so I was his hands for him. This included operating the bees on my own, which sparked the idea to share this honey with anyone and everyone. I thought, why not bring it to a farmers market? It was too late in 2019 to join any, allowing me to prepare for the 2020 market season. Then, Covid hit. Although this was not a rejection of the idea, simply a redirection.
Our plan B put the question of what if people could get the honey from the source itself? Right on our bee farm.
Following a summer of hard work & preparation, I built a shopfront, and opened on October 17th 2020. Safe to say the rest is history.
Unfortunately, Uncle Alex was officially diagnosed with cancer in January of 2021, and lost his battle in late April of 2021.
To witness his decline in health when working & caretaking for him, truly showed me the importance of life & why health is wealth.
So, I take great pride in what we do, providing sweet, pure honey that comes straight from the bees themselves,
simply the way nature intended. Today, with over 5 sweet years in business, we still get to share our honey one drop at a time! :)

Lets start with our Local Honey.
While the bees do most of the work, we take out each frame one by one revealing the delicious honey, which of then is spun out and filtered directly into the jars. No fillers, syrups, additional sugars or preservatives are added. For this is why we provide the purest highest quality Honey, simply as its made!
What is a better duo than honey with tea?! Not only is tea a natural product, but contains many medicinal properties. All the teas we offer have different medicinal/beneficial purposes, and are provided in loose-leaf form, to ensure highest potency and effectiveness.

Inclusive from the Honey and Tea, we make fruit jams and other canned foods from scratch! We take the fresh ingredient as it comes and create it into a jam or compote consistency, with no added sugar or preservatives! As the availability of the fruits/foods change, what we make is seasonal, ensuring we always use fresh ingredients!

Majority of our product can be found online, however we offer limited items found only in-store! Such products consist of jams made from fruits that are out of season, a variety of limited sizes of honey, or other canned goods.
Please join us at the store to enjoy our limited-time only products! We are looking forward to seeing you there!
