As we are coming out of the 2020 pandemic, masks are no longer required indoors, regardless of vaccination status. We do ask to follow the max capacity limit of 6 persons in the store at a time, and those who wait outside to practice social distancing guidelines at own risk. We never want to make anyone feel uncomfortable or unsafe, as those are two of our top priorities, so please do not hesitate to ask questions or let us know your concerns if any arise. Thank you for your cooperation and lets stay healthy together! :)
At the Honey House, we use glass jars for several of our products. When shipping anything containing glass, we take the utmost precaution to ensure the glass is properly wrapped and secured to avoid damage during transport. Unfortunately we can not guarantee that the package will be handled with great care. If your package containing glass is broken upon arrival, please submit a photo and contact us immediately at honeyhouseab@gmail.com so we can further assist you. Lack of photo will NOT guarantee a replacement. You have up to 3 DAYS after receiving the package and submit a photo and contact us in order to receive replacement. After 3 days, we are no longer obligated to send a replacement. Thank you for understanding.
Since our honey does not undergo any processing or filtering, whatever the bees give us is what you receive in the jar. The color of the honey can change due to the different nectar sources. However since the honey comes from the same time frame of the harvesting season, as well as the same region, the flavor of our main honey stays primarily the same. If you have further questions please feel free to contact us . :)
Crystallization, or the solidifying of the honey, occurs due to the glucose properties in the honey. This is a natural process, which is easily reversible. Simply place the jar of honey, with the lid off, in hot water until the honey liquifies. CAUTION: Do not place in boiling water as the glass may crack. For preservation it is best to keep honey at room temperature.
Tea preparations vary depending on the tea. Some are more potent or stronger than others, which dictate the amount used per batch. A general rule of thumb is 1 tsp = 1 cup of water if made by the cup. If desired to make a large quantity at a time, 1 OZ = 1 gallon of water
Upon receiving homemade good (jams/compotes etc.) you may notice there is no specified expiration date. All homemade goods that are available are made within a months time period. Each jar goes through a vacuum seal process, creating a preserving suction in the jar. This process allows the contents a 3-4 year shelf life if unopened. Similar to many canned goods, however once opened it is best to keep refrigerated and consumed within a 7-14 day period.
Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we can not accept returns at this time, especially as a food item. However, if you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please email us at honeyhouseab@gmail.com and we will be more than happy to try and accommodate your needs. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we make it through these uncertain times.
We value the environmental aspect of using glass over plastic containers. Therefore, we use glass jars for our Honey as well as all our canned goods. Every time the jars are returned, please enjoy 20% off your next purchase of honey in-store and online!
